What is Rubber Stone?

Concrete was never built for Saskatchewan winters. Rubber Stone is.

Rubber Stone is a premium paving overlay made from Swiss-imported EPDM rubber, installed directly over your existing concrete with no demolition required.

Unlike rigid concrete, it uses a polyurethane binding agent that flexes with the ground through Saskatchewan's freeze-thaw cycles instead of cracking under them. Even through the harshest winters and hottest summers, it holds its colour, structure, and strength. Engineered to last 20+ years.

Response when inquiring to have our sidewalk done was immediate. And they were there only 2 days later to do the job. Work was done quickly and professionally. And we love our new sidewalk done in the stone rubber. Great job!

Frequently asked questions

Is Rubber Stone durable enough for Saskatchewan winters?

Yes, this is exactly where it outperforms concrete. The polyurethane binder flexes with substrate movement up to a full inch during freeze-thaw cycles instead of cracking. The EPDM rubber maintains its integrity from -40°C to +35°C.

How long does the installation take and when can I use it?

Most residential projects are completed in a single day. You can walk on the surface the same day. Drive-on time is 1-2 days depending on application thickness and temperature. Installation requires temperatures of 10–15°C or above for optimal curing.

What if my concrete is in really bad shape?

Rubber Stone is installed directly over existing concrete, asphalt, or stone. We assess the substrate during your quote - if preparation work is needed we will tell you. In some cases, when the existing surface is not suitable, we don't recommend to overlay. We would rather lose a sale than install a product that won't perform.

What maintenance does it require?

Regular pressure washing keeps the surface clean. A re-coating every 5-7 years restores the finish and renews the appearance. No annual sealing, crack patching, or de-icing chemicals required.
